Kutali Camp sits on Kulefu Island inside Lower Zambezi National Park, placed within a Faidherbia — Winterthorn — forest that runs along the river. The camp holds five tents, each positioned to look out across the Zambezi, and takes no more than ten guests at a time.

The tents are canvas but properly fitted: ensuite bathrooms accessible from inside the tent, flushing toilets, running water, and bucket showers outside. Beds are singles with good-quality mattresses and linen. Solar lamps on bedside tables, a safe, camp chairs, and folding shelf systems for clothes. The facilities are simple and deliberate — this is a small island camp, not a lodge.

From the island you can canoe the Zambezi, walk with a guide through the forest and floodplain, or go out by vehicle on day and night game drives. Catch-and-release fishing runs off the water. The camp also does gourmet picnics and high tea, which sit alongside the game activities rather than replacing them.

Dining is communal, the bar is on site, and laundry is handled at no additional charge. The camp is eco-conscious in its setup, running on solar power. Access is into the Lower Zambezi, a national park that holds elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo along a stretch of river that forms the border with Zimbabwe.
