La Bastide de Capelongue
One-Michelin-star dining at Bonnieux, open Tuesday to Saturday evenings only

Bonnieux sits above La Bastide, its stone rooftops climbing the hillside toward the Petit Luberon, and the restaurant looks out from the grounds of the Capelongue estate toward that view. It holds one Michelin star. Noël Bérard runs the kitchen, working a short, seasonal menu built on produce grown and raised close by: black truffle from Méthamis shaved over crisp celery with a vegetable blanquette sauce, Sisteron lamb grilled with lavender honey and carrots dressed in poutargue, and a dessert of textured chocolate and candied olives finished with black olive ice cream from Nyons. The cooking is precise rather than showy, built on what the region's terroir yields that week. Lunch runs Fridays and Saturdays only, from noon to half past one. Dinner is served Tuesday to Saturday, from seven to nine in the evening; the restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays. Bérard trained across established kitchens in France and abroad before settling into this register, rooted in Provençal produce but open to unexpected pairings. Reservations run through the Capelongue front desk by phone or email. Guests can walk down from La Bergerie, the estate's other restaurant, or from the bar, before or after a table at La Bastide, and the Petit Luberon stays visible from the terrace as the light drops toward evening.
