La Casa Que Canta

La Casa Que Canta is set above Playa La Ropa, on the scenic road that curls around Zihuatanejo Bay. The hotel is built from adobe brick, palapa roofs and tropical hardwood, a construction method that has made it a recognisable shape on this stretch of the Pacific coast. Twenty-five suites, spread across three buildings, all face the water and open onto private terraces. The Mexico Lindo Presidential Suite is the largest, at 165 m², with a king bed and its own pool deck; Terrace Suites run from 65 to 95 m², the entry point into the same view. Two pools sit on the property, an unusual allowance for a hotel this size. Mar y Cielo, the restaurant, serves seafood landed that morning from the bay, alongside Mexican dishes with a Mediterranean lean, from 6pm to 10.30pm. A Clarins spa operates daily from 10am to 6pm, the only one of its kind in Mexico. The gym looks straight out over the bay, open to the sea breeze rather than closed in with air conditioning. Two private villas, El Murmullo and El Ensueño, add oceanfront suites with their own chef service for guests who want a house apart from the main building.
