Set into the tangle of streets that make up Hanoi's Old Quarter, La Siesta Classic Ma May stands behind a white façade a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. It opened in 2014 as the first hotel under the La Siesta name, later renamed from its original title as the group expanded. Inside, 65 rooms and suites mix Asian-inspired decor with modern fittings, spread across floors that end in a rooftop bar. The Moonlight Sky Bar sits at the top of the building, open to the city below. La Spa and a gym occupy the third floor, and Red Bean Restaurant runs off the ground floor lobby. Room types range widely: Club Duplex Premier and Duplex Suites offer split-level living across two floors, while the Two Bedroom Family Suite sleeps five across two bedrooms and a large dressing area. Connecting Rooms link two separate rooms for families or groups travelling together. You can hear the street market below from the front-facing rooms, though quieter rooms face away from it. The hotel sits inside the Old Quarter's grid of shophouses and lake paths, close enough to Hoan Kiem Lake to reach it on foot. It is a compact, vertical stay, built for a city visit rather than a long retreat.
