La Estancia | Farm Experience

La Estancia is a working farm on the edge of Las Catalinas, reached by a short walk through tropical dry forest to a hillside plant nursery. Visitors can meet, groom and greet a horse, hold a chicken, then rest in a rocking chair with a refreshment. Staff explain the community's composting programme and its support for the nearby town of Tempate. Eggs, honey and other organic produce from local growers are available to buy. The visit is adapted to individual interest, running anywhere from ten minutes to two hours, available Monday to Friday throughout the day.
