Le Jardin des Ilets
Facing the Ilets Pigeon across open water, Le Jardin des Ilets sits at Bouillante on Guadeloupe's western coast. The beach at Malendure lies within walking distance, a stretch of dark volcanic sand used by divers heading out to the islets offshore. It is a compact stay. Four bungalows make up the property, each named for a flower: Bougainvillea, Humming-bird, Hibiscus and Jasmine. Rooms are self-contained, furnished simply, and set apart enough to give each one its own outlook toward the water or the garden that surrounds them.

A pool sits at the centre of the grounds, open to guests through the day. You can hear the sea from most of the property, though the shoreline itself is a short walk beyond the gate. Bouillante is known locally for its geothermal activity and its diving grounds, and the Ilets Pigeon marine reserve draws snorkellers and divers year-round for the visibility and reef life just off Malendure. Wi-fi is available on-site at no extra charge.

The setting is quiet rather than social: no restaurant, no spa, just four bungalows, a pool and a clear line of sight to the islets. Check-in and departure follow standard hotel timing, and the property functions as a base for exploring the coast rather than a destination in itself.
