Le Zahir Lodge

Le Zahir Lodge is a small hotel on Madirokely-Ambatoloaka beach, on the island of Nosy Be off Madagascar's northwest coast. Private beach access sits a few minutes from Ambatoloaka and Hell-Ville, close to the island's main sights. The lodge keeps to a handful of bungalows, run on a scale that favours quiet over volume. Staff can explain the carving on request, detail by detail, if you ask. Deluxe bungalows hold a covered veranda, a study area with an extra bed, a double room, a private bathroom and a kitchen. Family suites sleep four or more across two double rooms, with a lounge, kitchen and shared veranda. Ceiling fans run five speeds, and rooms come with a safe, mosquito nets and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi covers communal areas. Excursions run from the lodge to Nosy Iranja and Nosy Sakatia, and out toward the wider Nosy Be coast.
