The Nile here holds Nile Perch, a fish that grows large and fights hard on the line. Guests can cast directly from the lodge's riverbank, close to the rapids that run past the suites, or head out with local Ugandan fishermen in traditional wooden boats to learn techniques passed down over generations. Guides position anglers for the best chance of a catch, whether it is a first attempt or a practised one. It is catch-and-release fishing, set against the sound of white water. The lodge sits on an island in the river near Jinja.
