Each drive is exclusive to Loapi's guests, with a dedicated guide and tracker who can head out in a different direction each day rather than follow a fixed route. Tswalu's reserve spans dunes, savannah grassland and the Korannaberg mountains, home to over eighty mammal species, including desert black rhino, brown hyena, cheetah and Kalahari black-maned lion. Because sightings aren't shared with other vehicles, guests can linger as long as they like at a sighting, tracking animal movements or simply watching the landscape. Night drives extend the search to nocturnal species such as aardvark, aardwolf and pangolin.
