Lodge on Loch Lomond
The Lodge on Loch Lomond is a hotel on the beach at Luss, thirty miles north of Glasgow. Rooms look over the water from private patios or balconies, with soaking tubs set into the bathrooms. Room types range from the compact Glen Luss through to the Beach House, a self-contained unit of eight bedrooms starting at 30 m². Colquhoun's Restaurant runs along the waterfront with a terrace over the loch, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from a menu built around Scottish produce. You can take afternoon tea there too, timed to the changing light on the water. The AmberRose Spa holds a thermal suite with steam room, hot and cold showers, salt and herbal saunas and heated loungers, all behind floor-to-ceiling windows facing the loch. A Rasul mud chamber is available for treatments, alongside massage and facial rooms. Guests reach the village of Luss on foot from the grounds, with a waterbus running island cruises from the pier. The property also runs kayak and paddleboard rental directly from the shore. Check-in runs from 3pm, check-out by 11am. It is a lodge built for the view as much as the loch itself, with the water rarely out of sight from room, restaurant or spa.
