Set along a quiet street on the Luang Prabang peninsula, Lotus Villa holds 17 individually furnished rooms and suites behind a courtyard garden. The building mixes Lao timber construction with French colonial lines, a pairing common across the old town, where balconies and verandas were added to the original design to suit the climate. Every room opens to the garden, where breakfast is cooked to order each morning. It is a compact stay.

Rooms are built around local craft. The Lotus Room uses timber panelling and an earthy palette, with two balconies, one over the courtyard and one over the walkway. The Water Lily Room is finished with handmade terracotta tiles and carved window shutters, made by local artisans, and opens through French doors onto its own terrace. The Orchid Suite takes the top floor with a blue-painted lounge, a separate bedroom, and a bathtub alongside the shower. None of the rooms carry a television, a deliberate choice by the owners to keep guests looking outward.

The hotel sits within walking distance of the town's temples and market streets, and the monks' morning almsgiving procession passes close by. Bicycles are available to guests at no charge, and afternoon tea is served in the garden in the mid-afternoon. Check-in runs from 2pm.
