Low Head Pilot Station is a unique and historical precinct situated at the entry of the Tamar River in Northern Tasmania. Dating back to 1805, the Low Head Conservation Area is the oldest Pilot and Signal Station in Australia and has run continuously since 1833. With its diverse range of 19th-century buildings overlooking the Bass Strait, this charming precinct is a haven of tranquillity and serenity surrounded by pristine beaches and magnificent views.
Visitors have nine one- two- and three-bedroom self-contained cottages to choose from. Situated on the Village Green and overlooking the Bass Strait all cottages offer magnificent views and are fitted with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
