Swimming with Dolphins
Morning swims with wild dolphins off Mauritius's west coast
Skip to product information
Guests meet spinner and bottlenose dolphins in the bay off Black River, on Mauritius's west coast, where the animals gather in large numbers each morning between 7am and 8.30am. The resort's concierge arranges the transfer to La Balise Marina, with departure at 5.30am. Humpback and sperm whales migrate along this coastline too, and are sometimes spotted along the way. Guests bring swimming gear, sun cream and a beach towel. The excursion runs every day of the week, weather permitting, and gives swimmers a rare, close encounter with dolphins in their own habitat.
