Magnific Rock Hotel
Set on a rock headland above Popoyo, the property looks straight down the coast at three named breaks at once: Popoyo's main wave, the Outer Reef, and the Santana beach break. Rooms and the open-sided restaurant share a 270-degree sweep of the Pacific, so the horizon is never fully out of view. Guests can hear the swell from the balcony before they see it. The yoga studio, a 920-square-foot room with floor-to-ceiling windows and wall mirrors, holds up to 35 people and doubles for aerial-silk classes suspended over the same ocean view. Surf coaching runs through five practical sessions and two classroom sessions on wave reading, backed by video review and a board quiver for all levels. Popoyo itself breaks year-round, from two feet to well over twenty, with more than 300 days of offshore wind annually. A short paddle out reaches the Outer Reef, a serious wave that calls for a helmet and a tow. Meals are included and built around Nicaraguan beef and fresh, local ingredients, served in a cedar-lined dining room open to the sea breeze. Evenings end at the on-site bar with sunset drinks and, some nights, live music. It is a compact, walk-to-the-water setup rather than a sprawling resort.
