Mahona Boutique Hotel

Set behind a carved wooden gate off a street in Las Terrenas, Mahona Boutique Hotel opens onto a garden built around a swimming pool, screened by palms and flowering shrubs. The beach lies a three-minute walk away, with the fishing pier and harbour area close by. It is a compact stay: ten rooms and suites in total, arranged on a single level. Rooms come with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a safe and minibar; several open onto a terrace facing the garden or pool. The villa is the largest option, a self-contained colonial-style unit of 100 m² with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private pool and its own furnished terrace for meals outdoors. One bedroom takes a king bed, the other a queen. Elsewhere, the hotel keeps things simple: a breakfast area serving something homemade each morning, a bar, a spa and wellness area for massage, and free parking. A security guard is on site through the night, and quiet hours run late evening to early morning. Staff arrange transfers, tours and extra meals on request. You can walk to the village centre for local crafts and produce, or arrange a horseback ride, kitesurf session or whale-watching trip out of Samaná Bay through the hotel.
