Guests arrive at Thiot on their own schedule, collecting codes for the gate and door locks ahead of check-in rather than meeting anyone at reception. The manor itself dates to 1582, built as a hunting lodge on the banks of the Loire, and stands with a second house, Petit Thiot, across 3 hectares of open countryside. Nevers, with its Ducal Palace, lies a few minutes away. The main house holds bedrooms including a master suite and a dormitory for three children, along with a dining room, living room, and a kitchen that opens straight onto the garden and the pool. Petit Thiot sits just opposite, rented alongside the manor when a larger group needs the extra room. Between the two, the property sleeps up to 16. The garden runs the full perimeter of the grounds and gives a wide view over the surrounding fields in every direction. The pool is heated from April into October, weather allowing, and closes each evening under an electric cover. A charcoal barbecue sits by the poolside for summer meals. Wifi reaches both houses, useful for anyone working through a longer stay. Housekeeping cleans before arrival and after departure, with a mid-stay clean offered for bookings over two weeks.
