Manouchehri House

Manouchehri House is a restored merchant residence in Kashan's old residential quarter, an area dense with Persian brick courtyards and vaulted rooflines. Eight guest rooms wrap a central courtyard, each with its own architectural detailing, looking onto a reflecting pool and small gardens planted with fruit trees. The lobby keeps its original traditional furnishings and opens, via a second-floor colonnade, onto an art gallery devoted to younger Persian artists. It is a compact stay. Downstairs, the house's old cistern has been converted into a subterranean cinema, wired for wifi like the rest of the building, so the mechanics of the old water system now double as a screening room. A dining room occupies what were once guest quarters and serves breakfast daily along with Kashan dishes at lunch and dinner. The basement also holds a textile workshop, where master weavers still operate looms for velvet and brocade, continuing a craft that once ran through nearly every household in Kashan; guests can watch the work in progress and buy the cloth afterwards in the house's own shop, set in a former fountain room under a vaulted ceiling. Taxi and car rental can be arranged through the hotel, and luggage storage is available for guests moving on to other parts of Isfahan province.
