Masseria Torre Coccaro

Built with vaulted stone ceilings and whitewashed walls, the rooms at Masseria Torre Coccaro carry linen sheets and down pillows, a legacy of the 16th-century fortified farmhouse the property once was. Junior suites occupy the old tower. One suite holds its own pool. The estate spreads across old olive groves a short run from the Adriatic, and several rooms and villas open onto private pools set among the trees. The spa sits inside natural caves cut into the local stone, with an indoor pool, Turkish bath, sauna, and treatments made from olive oil grown on site. Two restaurants draw on an organic farm for Puglian cooking, served either in the dining rooms or on the sand at one of two beach clubs, Coccaro and Le Palme. You can cycle to the coast on the house bicycles or ride out through the countryside on horseback. A cooking school and wine and olive oil tastings round out the estate's own produce. It is a working farmhouse turned stay, not a set piece.
