Maun Waterfront Guesthouse
A guesthouse on the Thamalakane River, ten minutes from Maun Village
Skip to product information
Maun Waterfront Guesthouse is a riverside stay on the Thamalakane, a short drive from Maun Village and the routes into the Okavango Delta. The guesthouse holds eight guest rooms, enough for up to 16 guests, each en suite with air conditioning, mosquito nets, a mini-fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Four rooms have balconies over the water. The rest open onto private verandas facing the garden. Hippo and crocodile pass the river below, and birdlife works the reeds along the bank through the day. Breakfast is served in the main house, and the bar and deck give a place to sit out over the water with a drink at the end of the day. The location, on Disaneng Road between exit seven and eight, puts guests close to charter flights over the delta, day drives into Moremi Game Reserve, and sundowner cruises on the river itself. It functions as a base rather than a destination in its own right, built for travellers moving between Maun and the wilderness areas beyond it. The pace here stays unhurried, set by the river rather than the road.
