Mercure Timisoara

Mercure Timisoara is a recent build on Bulevardul Cetății, a short walk from the Timișoara Art Museum and the Old Town. A tram stop sits right outside, which matters more than the address: the hotel is not in the historic centre, but the city reaches it easily. Rooms are compact and consistent. Standard doubles run 20 to 24 m², with king, queen or twin beds; Superior and Privilege rooms step up to 30 m², one with its own terrace. The Executive suite is the outlier, at 101 m², with a king bed and two sofa beds for a family of four. Every room carries air conditioning, a minibar, a safe and a Samsung tablet alongside a 4K television, a small nod to the building's tech-forward design. Winestone restaurant serves Romanian dishes for breakfast through dinner, with room service on request, and the adjoining Winestone Bar doubles as a daytime coffee stop and an evening spot for small gatherings. Meeting space extends to a room of 160 m², useful for conferences passing through the city. An airport shuttle and a 24-hour front desk cover the practical side of things. The nearest train station is a nine-minute drive; a highway exit sits roughly 35 minutes out. Check-in runs from 3pm. Parking on site is limited, though street parking nearby fills the gap.
