Mika's Resort
A small, private beach resort built for those seeking real quiet
Skip to product information
Set on a stretch of pink sand on Eleuthera's eastern shore, Mika's Resort keeps to just five rooms: four oceanfront casitas and one penthouse. The beach itself is private, reached directly from the property, and the Atlantic runs close enough to hear from the covered deck. Each casita measures 240 sq ft, sleeps two, and comes with a queen bed and an ocean view; the penthouse, on the third floor of the main house, spans 800 sq ft with a single and a queen bed, a private balcony, and a wider run of sea views over the living room. Rooms are simple rather than dressed up. A shared kitchen, mini fridges, and coffee makers cover self-catering; kayaks, beach chairs, and spearfishing and snorkelling gear sit ready for the reef beyond the sand. There is no restaurant on site, so guests tend to cook, fish, or arrange a boat charter through the resort's local partners. Governor's Harbour Airport and North Eleuthera Airport both handle scheduled flights from Nassau, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, and a rental car is close to essential once on the island, given how little public transport runs here. It is a quiet, small-scale base, built for travellers who want the beach more than the amenities.
