Millrock Island Resort and Spa
Ucluelet's oceanfront spa pairs seaweed therapies with views of the Pacific surge channel

Drift Spa is the treatment wing of Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, set among the studios, suites and cabins that make up the property's 133 rooms above Ucluelet's coastline. Treatments draw on Seaflora skincare, a Vancouver Island line that harvests its own seaweed and skips single-use plastics, a fit for a resort built around the Pacific just beyond its windows. The menu runs across massage, body, face and energy work. It's compact. A seasonal facial pairs a chilled stone massage with a cooling seaweed masque, aimed at skin that's had a little too much sun. Guests can book side-by-side treatments directly with the spa by phone or email, useful for couples travelling together or wedding parties before a ceremony in the resort's Wine Cellar or Rainforest Ballroom. The Wine Cellar itself looks onto an active surge channel, slate floors and floor-to-ceiling glass framing the waves below, and pairings there sometimes follow a spa afternoon. Suites nearby carry soaker tubs and rain shower heads, along with the same Seaflora amenities used in treatment rooms, so the spa's marine theme continues after guests leave. Access to the outdoor hot tubs and plunge pool is included for resort guests. The spa keeps limited hours across the week, longer on weekends, and books up fast in storm-watching and whale season.
