Stone Camp is situated in the heart of the reserve in a riverine forest alongside a dry river bed. The 12 semi-open thatched, stone cottages have half walls - no windows, no doors! In the family units all beds are in 1 open-plan room.
Stone Camp is situated in the heart of the reserve in a riverine forest alongside a dry river bed. The entire camp is off-grid, with gas geysers, paraffin lanterns and a little solar power. Meals are served under the iconic Sausage Tree, or around the campfire.
12 unique accommodation units are privately dispersed in the forest, connected by a central sand path. The semi-open thatched, stone cottages have low stone walls - no windows, open to the bush! The family units all beds are in 1 open-plan room. Each unit is en-suite, with ablutions looking into the bush.
2 additional Guide units at lower rates allow for guided group travel. Game walks and drives depart from Stone Camp .
Prebooking is essential as guests are met on a specific meeting point. Entry/exit is specifically at either 10h00 or 16h00 daily, as booked.
