Opened as a self-catering base within the Uibasen-Twyfelfontein Community Conservancy in Damaraland, the campsite spreads nine individual pitches across a ridge above the boulder-strewn valleys. Each site has a private ablution block with shower, basin, and flushing toilet, plus a braai station, a kitchen wash-up area, and a shaded bench. Boilers heat water on request at check-in. Sites have no electricity but are serviced daily. Views stretch across the valleys from every pitch.
A kiosk at the reception area sells wood, ice, braai packs, cold drinks, and snacks. A swimming pool and Wi-Fi are available in the same zone. Self-guided walking trails thread through the surrounding terrain; information boards at the nearby Mowani Mountain Camp identify plant and tree species along the routes. Guided nature drives can be arranged at reception, subject to availability, and typically depart early morning to search for desert-adapted elephants over four to six hours. Excursions to Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain, and the Organ Pipes—UNESCO World Heritage rock-engraving sites—run in the afternoon.
The campsite lies fifteen kilometres from Twyfelfontein airstrip, 122 kilometres north of Uis, and ninety-two kilometres west of Khorixas. Staff speak English.
