Mövenpick Hotel Doha

Set on Corniche Road facing the Museum of Islamic Art, Mövenpick Doha occupies one of the city's more central addresses, roughly 11 km from Hamad International Airport and a short walk from the business district. Rooms run from 30 m² Superior doubles with city views to 55 m² Business Suites and Family Rooms, several with a partial sea view alongside the skyline. Each has a work desk and free Wi-Fi, standard for a hotel built around business travel, and some suites add a Nespresso machine and breakfast in bed. Downstairs, Seasons restaurant handles all-day dining and buffet spreads, while L'Espresso lobby lounge serves coffee and Jazz Up covers cocktails and live sport. The hotel keeps a Swiss habit alive with its Chocolate Hour, a daily hour of chocolate tastings in the lobby. Outdoors, there is a pool with a whirlpool and a fitness centre for guests working off the buffet. Meetings run through the Barzan suites, flexible rooms built for conferences and smaller gatherings alike. It is not a resort. The hotel opened in 2001 and has kept its footing on the Corniche since, trading on location and consistency rather than novelty. For business stays or a short city break with a sea view thrown in, it does the job without fuss.
