Genuine floorboards and the scent of old wood mark the Heritage rooms, set inside a building dated 1936 and restored between 2004 and 2005. It is one of three structures on the property listed by UNESCO. The hotel sits a few steps from the historic centre of the Luang Prabang peninsula, beside the Wat Meuna temple, across five lao-colonial buildings and one private house. Seven Heritage rooms occupy the original structure; eighteen Tradition rooms fill three newer buildings built to match the old royal city's style, arranged around a green-tiled pool. A separate Blue House holds four Tradition Deluxe rooms facing the garden, quieter and set apart from the pool. Rooms run from 25 m² in the Heritage building to 40 m² in the largest Tradition Deluxe category, each with a sitting area and a small office corner. For longer stays, Maison Houng Chanh offers a private three-bedroom house of 200 m², with its own kitchen, garden and a jacuzzi under a covered lounge. The restaurant serves Lao and French dishes from a walled tropical garden, with khaipen and laap among the chef's standard plates. Breakfast is included. Bicycles are available for guests wanting to reach the night market or the Mekong on their own.
