Nicol Street Heritage Cottages
Restored from workers' cottages dating to 1879, Nicol Street Heritage Cottages occupy a cobbled cul-de-sac in Gardens, at the foot of Table Mountain. Six one- and two-bedroom units occupy heritage buildings along the quiet lane. Heritage Cottage, the oldest, accommodates four across two bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom; one bathroom contains both bath and outdoor shower. The 100 m² interior opens onto a 14 m² patio. African Romance Cottage spans 118 m² with a 28 m² patio garden and a single king bedroom. Garden Cottage offers 99 m² of living space and a 20 m² patio with fountain. Treetops Apartment, set on the first floor among old trees, measures 79 m² and opens through Juliette balconies onto a landscaped terrace. Peacock Suite displays antique peacock-and-garden friezes and mountain views from its bedroom window. The two-bedroom apartment accommodates four to five guests across 132 m² and a 22 m² patio with Table Mountain visible. All units contain basic kitchenettes, smart televisions, and climate control. Housekeeping operates daily unless requested otherwise.

Breakfast at Our Local, a café 60 metres up Kloof Street, is included in the stay. Kloof Street restaurants, cafés, and galleries lie one minute on foot. The Mount Nelson Hotel sits five minutes away. Table Mountain cable car and trailheads are ten minutes by road. Camps Bay Beach is 14 minutes by car. The V&A Waterfront lies 20 minutes away; ferries to Robben Island depart from the harbour. Constantia wine estates are 35 minutes by road. Cape Point Nature Reserve is accessible in 80 minutes.
