OKU Hotel Taichung

A three-storey wine tower is the first thing guests see at OKU Hotel, rising through the lobby in the old quarter of Taichung's Central District. The building sets historic bones against plain modern lines, glass and dark wood in place of ornament. Rooms run from the 36 m² Luxe Room to the 86 m² Residential Suite, each with a 55-inch television, a separate wet and dry bathroom, and a bidet toilet. Several room types, including the Scenic, Premier, and OKU Suite, carry handcrafted brass or copper bathtubs rather than standard fittings. The Deluxe Room and OKU Suite add a private outdoor balcony. Breakfast is included daily, portioned to the room's standard occupancy.

Downstairs, Ailìse Bar works in amber light and jazz, its bartenders mixing drinks to order rather than off a fixed list. A cigar lounge keeps a small stock of international cigars in a controlled, aged room built for the purpose. A VIP room handles private meetings and family gatherings away from the main floor, and the gym stays open for early or late training. The hotel does not hand out single-use toiletries as standard, a small policy shift rather than a stated luxury. It stands within walking distance of Taichung's street food and local markets, and public transport reaches it easily from the rail and bus network.
