Set along a river line studded with acacia trees inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the cottages sit within a 90,000-hectare stretch of protected Laikipia land that holds the Big Five and the last two northern white rhinos on Earth. The property runs as a single exclusive-use booking: no other guests, no shared spaces, just one group with its own guide, vehicle and chef for the length of the stay. Cottages come in one- or two-bedroom layouts, each with an en-suite bathroom, a lounge and dining area, and a verandah running the width of the building. The two-bedroom version sleeps up to six, beds arranged as a king or as single beds across the rooms. Meals are cooked to order, from breakfast to sundowners, and served wherever the group chooses to eat that day. Mount Kenya rises beyond the flat Laikipia plateau, visible from the cottage decks on a clear morning. Game drives, night drives and guided walks run daily, tracking rhino, elephant and the birdlife that moves through the riverine bush nearby. It is a quiet, family-run base, built by safari veterans who have spent decades running camps across southern and East Africa. Check-in runs from 1pm, check-out by 10am.
