Check in on Bat Dan Street and the Old Quarter is already at the door. Palago Boutique Hanoi Hotel occupies a narrow building in Hoan Kiem, the district where Hanoi's street-food stalls, tailors and lake views sit within walking distance of the lobby. It opened in December 2023, which makes it one of the newer boutique addresses in the quarter, and the finish still shows: TOTO fittings in the bathrooms, clean corridors, a lobby that guests notice for its scent on arrival.
Rooms run across six categories, from a Deluxe Double up to a Palago Suite that sleeps a family of three. The Signature Room with Balcony is the one to ask for; several come with a bathtub and enough floor space to unpack properly, room 602 among them. Every room has air conditioning, a minibar, television and private bathroom. Breakfast is served buffet-style on the ground floor, next to reception, with a live egg station and soup noodles made to order.
A spa, bar and 24-hour reception round out the property, along with Wi-Fi throughout. It is a compact hotel. Staff are known for remembering names by the second morning, and Hoan Kiem Lake is close enough to reach on foot before breakfast cools.
