White pebbles make up the lodge's small beach, a solarium fitted with sun loungers below a pool with its own waterfall. The garden runs green around every building, planted with mango, banana, and papaya trees whose fruit turns up at breakfast. Pare Lodge sits in Pirae, a few minutes from Papeete, French Polynesia's capital, with shops and restaurants close by.

Three studios, each 19 m², sleep up to three people and open onto a private terrace; each has a king bed, a single bed, air conditioning, and a kitchenette of sorts with a mini fridge and microwave. The Bungalow Mahana, at 23 m², is set apart from the other rooms and opens directly onto the pebble solarium — a fit for couples. Fare Miti and Fare Vini are ground-floor bungalows for four, each with a kitchenette, fridge, and a wheelchair-accessible option in Fare Miti. The Mango Tree cabin, 40 m², is built into a mango tree itself, with a double bed, air conditioning, and a private bathroom.

A continental breakfast is included, taken on a rear terrace facing the garden. The lodge also runs 4x4 excursions into the Papeno'o valley with a bilingual guide, departing straight from the property. It is a compact stay, and a quiet one.
