Polished wood and antique furniture set the tone in the Manor House, where six chambers keep the feel of an older Nairobi. The property sits on a landscaped estate in Muthaiga, one of Nairobi's older residential quarters, and holds 26 rooms across four distinct types. Six Folia Serviced Studios suit longer stays, with a work station, mini fridge and rain shower in each. Six Mirari Luxury Garden Suites face the grounds, framed by planting rather than street. Eight Msitu Tented Cottages sit under tree cover, a tented format with the same fittings as the rest of the house: HD television, in-room safe, bathtub and vanity area. The Manor House chambers add polished wood finishes and period furniture, plus access to a whisky bar and a steam room and sauna not open to other guests. Elsewhere, the estate runs a restaurant, a cigar and whisky lounge, a gym, a pool and a spa. You can hear little from the road once inside the grounds; the landscaping does that work. Wi-Fi runs free throughout. It is a compact stay, twenty-six rooms in total, and the mix of formats, from studio to tent to manor chamber, makes it more a small collection of houses than a single hotel.
