Pelyang Boutique
A boutique hotel in Thimphu built from Himalayan hemlock and quiet detail
Skip to product information
Panelled largely in Tsuga dumosa, the Himalayan hemlock native to Bhutan's conifer forests, the rooms at Pelyang Boutique pair that timber against a contemporary layout of desk, sofa and minibar. It is a compact stay set into central Thimphu, opposite City Hotel on Dungkhor Lam. Rooms run across four categories, from standard through deluxe, superior deluxe and suite, sized anywhere from 45 to 315 square metres depending on configuration. Upper-floor rooms, mostly on the third to fifth levels, look out toward the Himalayan range, while lower floors face the city itself. Bathrooms carry walk-in showers and herbal amenities, and the suites add a separate bathtub and pantry. On the ground floor, the restaurant Zakhang serves Bhutanese, Asian and Continental dishes alongside vegetarian Indian plates, with a bar attached. The Zukham Spa occupies the first floor, with one couple's room and two single treatment rooms, plus a steam room, sauna and small gym. You can walk to Thimphu's produce market in minutes, useful for a sense of the city beyond the hotel. Staff arrange taxis, shopping suggestions and event details on request. Rooms include Wi-Fi, a safe, smoke detector and daily laundry service. Breakfast is included with every rate.
