Windward Pavilion

One of twenty-six freestanding pavilions on Hamilton Island, each built around its own north-facing sundeck and infinity-edge plunge pool looking across the Coral Sea to Whitsunday Island. At 120 square metres, the layout pairs a king or twin bedroom with a separate lounge that opens straight onto the deck. Eucalypts shade the building; louvre windows and floor-to-ceiling glass let sea air move through polished timber floors. The stone ensuite has both a bath and a separate shower. A wheelchair-accessible version removes all steps and adds handrails and a lowered basin. Guests must be sixteen or older.
