Quercus Travel A Culinary Journey Through Costa Rica: From Tradition to Innovation

Costa Rican cuisine through the eyes, stories, and hands of those who live it every day. We begin this experience in the private home of a professional barista and certified coffee taster, where you’ll enjoy a guided coffee tasting session featuring high-quality local beans.
From there, we visit another local family home, where you’ll be welcomed to taste a traditional homemade “moonshine” liquor, crafted from a secret family recipe passed down through generations.
Next, we step into a restaurant dedicated to preserving ancestral Costa Rican recipes. Guided by the chef, you’ll enjoy a tasting menu of traditional dishes. We then continue to a second restaurant that showcases the new wave of Costa Rican culinary creativity. Here, emerging chefs blend tradition with global influences, presenting bold and innovative dishes — including a variety of ceviches. The journey concludes at a third restaurant that highlights contemporary interpretations of Costa Rican cuisine. Each tasting plate is paired with a local beverage or cocktail.
