Here, you’ll taste traditional “salsas picantes” (hot chili sauces). During the tour, you’ll learn about the various types of chili peppers grown in the area. Experience the excitement of creating a unique recipe that showcases the bold flavors of these hot sauces—an interactive way to explore Costa Rican cuisine.
Next, we’ll travel to the rural community of Juanilama, where you’ll meet local families and savor a delicious home-cooked lunch that exemplifies the warmth of Costa Rican hospitality. Your experience will continue with a brief farm tour, revealing the secrets behind cultivating black pepper, organic pineapples, medicinal plants, and cacao. To wrap up the day, you’ll get hands-on in making traditional tortillas and yuca snacks, paired with a cup of Costa Rican coffee.
