Red Bird Farm
Red is the first fact here: the farmhouse and its barns wear the traditional Swedish paint, trimmed in white, against flat arable fields ringed by birch and spruce. The buildings date to 1850, originally a working farm, and the three conversions keep their old bones — exposed beams, metal pillars, hand-built sliding barn doors — set against white-painted wood and plain wooden floors. The Cowshed is the newest, a single-storey 110 m² apartment with an open kitchen and two bedrooms sleeping up to eight. The Barn End runs to three floors and 150 m², its white-painted rooms full of light, with two bedrooms and a sofa bed for up to ten. The Meadow Barn is smallest, at 60 m², built from a cluster of old farm outbuildings and finished in grey and natural wood. Each apartment has its own kitchen, wi-fi and organic Swedish toiletries, and each opens onto private outdoor space for meals or a barbecue. It sits 7 km north of Ystad, close to sandy coastline, lake country and the Fyledalen valley, known for birds of prey. Guided hikes, lake tours and stand-up paddleboarding are arranged on request. Parking is free and on site.
