Ribno Alpine Glamping

Arrival at Glamping Ribno means stepping off a forest path into a cluster of timber cabins named after Slovenian wildflowers. It is a small settlement of eight houses, tucked into a spruce forest at the edge of Ribno, a short drive from Lake Bled. Each cabin sleeps up to four and runs on heating rather than open flame, so the site stays open through winter. A wood-clad hot tub sits on the private terrace outside; the bathroom, with shower, toilet and sink, occupies a separate shared structure nearby. Wi-Fi reaches every cabin. Guests share a Finnish sauna in the village and, in summer, a common terrace of sun loungers. Breakfast is served buffet-style at the neighbouring Ribno Alpine Hotel, whose kitchen and bar also serve the glamping guests. The resort has built its identity around cycling and low-impact operation: it holds Slovenia's first Zero Waste Hotel certification, awarded in 2018, and added the EU's Zero Waste business certificate in 2022. Furniture throughout is handmade on-site from reclaimed Slovenian timber. Bike hire and guided rides can be arranged through the hotel desk. The forest muffles most outside noise, and pine resin scents the air near the cabins. Check-in runs from 2pm. Pets are not permitted on the glamping grounds.
