The Admiral’s Room

The room's cedar hot tub, set on its own deck, is the place to loosen aching muscles after a day working the pools of the Tongariro River nearby. Inside, expect underfloor heating, a lounge area, and a mini bar carrying local wines, champagne, chocolates and craft beer. The en-suite bathroom has both a bath and shower, and there are dressing gowns, tea and coffee facilities, satellite television with DVD, and complimentary Wi-Fi. River Birches sits on the riverbank itself, close to renowned pools such as Major Jones and the Duchess, so a guide and rods can be arranged before the tub gets used at all.
