Wooden beams cross the ceilings here, and heavy fabric covers the walls in patterns that recall the colour and shine of the Doge era. Rosa Salva Hotel sits inside a renovated Venetian building three minutes on foot from Piazza San Marco and a short walk from the Rialto Bridge. The property runs to three floors, served by a lift, with twenty-two rooms ranging from compact economy doubles at 11 m² to a twenty-seven square metre junior suite with its own sitting area. Rooms carry classic wooden furniture alongside clean modern lines, with fitted or open wardrobes sized to the room. Beds sit on rigid-base frames with pocket-spring mattresses. A superior double with city view looks toward the campanile and the rooftops once used as an escape route by Casanova. Each room has air conditioning, a safe, free WiFi and a coffee machine. The hotel is linked to the Rosa Salva pastry house, a Venetian institution founded in 1870 and still run by the same family, and guests get preferential rates on breakfast there. Reception operates around the clock, and staff can arrange private transfers and city tours on request. It is a compact, central stay. Suites Rosa Salva, a set of apartments about 50 metres from the hotel, offer one- and two-bedroom options with marble details and, in one case, a terrace looking over the rooftops.
