Set with heated floors under every ensuite and blackout blinds against the prairie morning light, Rosebud Country Inn keeps its ten guest rooms plain and well made rather than dressed up. Each room carries its own bathtub and shower, individual climate control, and locally made bath products left as a small welcome gift. Four rooms take a king or queen bed with deck access facing north and east; others open onto a shared second-floor balcony fitted with Adirondack chairs. Room 4's easy chairs come from Birchwood Furniture in Calgary, one of several local craft touches placed through the inn alongside Canadian art for sale. A full hot breakfast is included each morning. The inn sits in the Rosebud valley, a short walk from Rosebud Theatre, where productions often draw on students and instructors from the Rosebud School of the Arts. Drumheller and its badlands lie 35 km off, home to the Royal Tyrrell Museum and the Atlas Coal Mine. Rooms 1 through 6 are wheelchair accessible, and an electric vehicle charging outlet stands open to guests and passers-by. Calgary is 99 km away. It is a small building for a small town, and it runs on the same unhurried logic as the valley around it.
