Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Set behind a stately 1927 façade at the centre of downtown Vancouver, Rosewood Hotel Georgia occupies a building long known as one of Western Canada's grand hotels. The lobby's restored staircase still leads up to the meeting and event floor, and terrazzo floors and velvet furnishings run through public spaces alongside work by Canadian artists. It is a compact stay by big-city standards, with 156 rooms and suites, each fitted with a Nespresso machine, a safe, and a marble-floored bathroom; several categories add a soaking tub or a gallery-style sitting area. Rooms range from around 30 m² in the Superior categories up to 59 m² in the One Bedroom Courtyard View Suite. Reflections The Garden Terrace serves food drawn from the region's forests, fields and coast, while the 1927 Lounge pours cocktails with a nod to the hotel's past guests. At the Georgia Bar, whiskey tastings and live music can run late into the evening. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, holds an indoor lap pool, a dry sauna, and a fitness centre, with day passes open to guests over 18. Event space totals more than 9,000 square feet, including a ballroom for up to 200 guests and a garden courtyard. Stanley Park borders downtown and is reachable on foot or by bike, and Granville Island's market sits a short ferry ride away. Check-in is at 4pm.
