Royal Angkor Resort
Set among manicured lawns and palm trees on the edge of Siem Reap, Royal Angkor Resort draws its architecture from the nearby Angkor temples: tall pillars, carved stone walls, and statues line the public spaces. The resort holds 198 rooms across five categories, from Superior and Deluxe to Sakura rooms finished with Japanese-inspired decor. Two Executive Bungalows offer a private balcony each. The Presidential Villa runs to 245 square metres over two bedrooms. Deluxe rooms come with private balconies, some overlooking the pool. Dining runs from the Garden Café, open more than a decade, to the Temple Lounge and a bar built for sunset drinks. The Royal Spa runs treatments through the day and night, including a traditional Khmer massage and a four-hand version for those who want more pressure. A private theatre stages an Apsara dance show, Cambodia's classical court performance, for guests who want an evening beyond dinner. It is a fair way out of central Siem Reap. A shuttle runs every two hours, and a separate transfer serves the town between 8am and 8pm, with tuk-tuks also waiting at the entrance. Angkor Wat itself lies a short drive away, along with the War Museum and the Angkor National Museum. Meeting rooms and a VIP check-in area cater to conference groups alongside leisure guests.
