Motu Beachfront Art Villas is set on Titikaveka lagoon, on Rarotonga's south coast, where the beach faces away from the trade winds and the worst of the westerly storms. Eleven free-standing villas sit within tropical gardens behind the sand, each fitted with artwork sourced from across the Pacific and its own private sun deck facing the water. A mountain ridge rises behind the property, giving the lagoon a green backdrop at either end of the day. Villas range from garden studios to premium beachfront suites, each with a kitchenette, air conditioning, and a covered verandah for shade. The Manutai villas stand closest to the water, steps from the white sand and the shallow turquoise lagoon. Snorkelling gear, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and electric bicycles come with every stay, along with a freshwater pool and a poolside honesty bar pouring local beer. You can hear the reef break beyond the lagoon at low tide, where the water turns from pale green to deep blue. The resort takes guests aged 18 and over only, which keeps the grounds quiet. It is family owned, and profits fund healthcare and arts scholarships across the Cook Islands and wider Pacific. Check-in details and airport transfers are arranged directly with the property.
