Sakatia Beachfront Villas

Built on the sand at Nosy Sakatia and later joined by a liveaboard catamaran, Sakatia Villas has grown into a two-part stay: rooms on land, and weeks at sea. Villa Ranomasy, a three-bedroom house, sits directly on the beachfront, each room with its own sea view and en-suite bathroom. Villa Tonga Soa, a two-bedroom duplex next door, adds a freshwater pool and a private braai area behind its veranda. Both come with double kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off salt and sand. Offshore, Maki-Cat, a 46-foot Woods catamaran fully refurbished in 2020, sleeps eight guests across four cabins, two with en-suite bathrooms. It runs on solar power. A skipper, chef, and deckhand crew every charter, cooking meals from a galley smaller than most kitchens ashore. Its companion vessel, Maki-Cat 2, is built for serious fishing: a 12 by 4.6 metre catamaran hull with twin outboard motors, trolling rods, and a Garmin fish finder for reaching deep-water grounds fast. Excursions run to Nosy Iranja, joined to Nosy Antsoha by a sandbank lined with market stalls and lemurs, and to Nosy Tanikely, where the water stays shallow and clear enough for snorkelling straight off the beach.
