Samora River Lodge

Set where a river runs past its gardens, Samora River Lodge keeps its rooms turned toward the water. The sound carries onto the private balconies fitted to every room, and gardens run down to the bank in a stretch of green that softens the Arusha heat. The lodge sits in Ilkiding'a, on the rural edge of Arusha, within reach of both Arusha National Park and Mount Meru. It is a small, low-key stay rather than a grand one. Five room types are on offer: Single, Double, Twin, Triple, and a Honeymoon Suite, each with an en-suite bathroom, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The Single Room runs to 25 m², compact but private, with its own deck over the garden. Breakfast is included across all room categories. A guided town tour into Arusha takes in the central market, the Cultural Heritage Centre, and the Clock Tower, and runs about four to five hours with lunch included. Back at the lodge, the restaurant serves meals in a garden setting by the river, and outdoor seating areas make use of the same riverside calm for small gatherings.
