PHANGAN FULL MOON FESTIVAL PARTY AND HALF MOON FESTIVAL PARTY

This is Koh Phangan's well-known late-night beach party, running from nine in the evening until two in the morning. On full moon dates, guests travel by speed boat, in groups of twenty to thirty-five, to the party area at Haad Rin Beach. On half moon dates, transfer is by car or van, in smaller groups of four to fifteen, to a jungle party area at Baan Tai. A related black moon party, on the same five-hour schedule, is held at a beach venue at Baan Kai. Each version centres on music, dancing and crowds by the shore.
