Shaded patios open onto a garden thick enough to soften the heat, each bungalow built low and close to the ground under a run of tiled roofs. The resort sits a short walk from Sukhothai Historic Park, its stone temple ruins within easy reach on foot or by bicycle, which the property rents on site. There is no beach or coastline here — Sukhothai sits inland, its landscape built of rice fields, canals and the weathered brick of its old capital rather than sand or reef.
