Only half an hour south of Bay of Fires and an hour north of Wineglass Bay, Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park offers self-contained accommodation and camping on the East Coast of Tasmania and it's the perfect accommodation base to explore the gems of the East Coast. The accommodation features camping sites and a choice of Safari or Deluxe tents and Couples or Family Glamping tents. The Safari and Deluxe tents boast Tv's, fully fitted kitchens and ensuite bathrooms while the Glamping tents are equipped with microwave, bar fridge and most of the comforts of home but there is a fully fitted communal kitchen and shared bathrooms. The campsite features a fully fitted communal kitchen, modern amenities block with private, clean shower stalls and toilets and a fantastic children's playground. Set at the mouth of the Scamander River and on the Great Eastern Drive route, the town boasts wide sandy beaches and a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Scamander is one of Tasmania’s premier Bream fishing locations and occasionally dolphins and whales can be sighted offshore.
