Boat Safari

At Selous Impala camp guests can have their own private safari at reasonable rates. The policy is no more than 4 persons in a vehicle, and the idea is to have the same guide for the entire stay.
The camp is set right on the Rufiji river, inside the Selous, the largest protected reserve in Africa so the boat safaris range far and wide up this amazing river and its lakes.
Guests pick from the activities: walking, driving, boating, fishing or flycamping and tell the managers and guides when they want to do them.
Its an authentic African safari, in proper tents in southern Tanzania's unknown wilderness.

Overlooking the Rufiji River, Selous Impala Camp offers Meru-style tents set on raised wooden platforms, each with polished floors, en-suite bathrooms, solar-powered lighting, fans, and charging points. Private decks provide uninterrupted views and a quiet space to observe passing wildlife. Guests gather in a breezy lounge and dining area on elevated decking, while a riverside bar, swimming pool, and campfire create a relaxed social atmosphere. Guided activities include game drives in open vehicles, boat safaris along the river, and walking safaris, allowing close exploration of the surrounding wilderness and its remarkable diversity of wildlife.
